Summer Interviews

The off-season is often a quiet time in the life of a football club's on-field activities, but an awful lot still goes on behind the scenes. Periodically, throughout the summer months, media officer Russ Gibbs will be conducting a series of interviews with prominent club personalities to find out just what they have been up to in the close-season and to get their views on developments on the local, national and international football scenes.

The first in this series sees 'Golden Boot' winner, aka goal poacher supreme, Gibbs interviewing head honcho Scott Conlon, also known as 'El Gaffer'. Go to the Fun and Games menu and click on 'Summer Interviews' to hear what the boss man has to say about his 'coach of the year award', what the addition of an under-16 side means to the club, and whether or not he will be dusting down the boots in 2008........

The second in the series sees Gibbs interviewing young coach Eugene Laurenz, the newly appointed under 16 Premier League coach for the club in 2008. In this interview Eugene details some of his thoughts on coaching and the enthusiasm he will bring into his new role. Click the below file to read more.

The third summer interview is with none other then the captain of the 1st team, Jeremy Butler. In this interview Jeremy gives his views on what the 2008 PL season may bring and provides an insight to some early memories playing with TUFC and thoughts on what makes Tuggies the best club around.

Interview 4 is a chat with Olathe Butler the unheralded sponsorship queen of the club. Olathe is quizzed to find out a little about what goes on behind the scenes in terms of sponsorship and how she juggles her time to be hugely involved in the club, run a family and keep Jezza out of mischief!
